For 27 years, I served in the US Army Reserves and US Coast Guard, leading high-stakes operations where one wrong decision could cost lives. I trained hundreds of personnel in crisis management. I earned 5 Coast Guard Commendation Medals, 2 Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and 2 Army Achievement Medals.
